Well, I see that Shockley has poise. Even as a rookie, he was not rattled that much. I am not saying to give him the job but I would definitely like to see the Falcons give Shock a shot. If you can give "throw more interceptions than touchdowns" Harrington a place on your roster, why can't the Falcons give Shock a shot!!
Really I do not see Vick escaping this situation. The Atlanta Falcons will have a dark cloud over them as long as Vick is the QB.
I've gotta take exception to the Harrington/Shockley comment. Sounds like someone's mixing their college and NFL allegiances. Don't be too down on Harrington - he's always played on a bad Detroit team. I remember him being decent last year in Miami, wasn't he? I actually think it's a moot point. I see Vick having a good year and maybe his best yet. I think this'll motivate him because he might miss an entire year after that. He'll either be watching on TV from his prison lunch room or Goodell will suspend him the whole year. Pac-man got a whole year, why wouldn't Vick?
No thanks on Culpepper. And yes, Harrington will be my back-up, a bargain in the late rounds.
I knew that would get you fired up! I hadn't heard anything about the Falcons and Culpepper yet but I was thinking about that last night as they played the Vick and Culpepper stories back to back on NFL Live.
I always knew this guy was suspect! LOL Harrington Dude. I hope he is your back up because this kid has some issues. If the falcons was so confident in Harrington, It will be no need to bring in one legged Culpepper...LOL
